Summer Jobs!

Summer Jobs at Green Thumbs! You don’t need tobe a student or returning to school in the fall anymore!

To be eligible, participants must:

1. be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
2. be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and,
3. have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

Two types of jobs are available. The Garden Program Co-ordinators (2) take care of program bookings, social media, and oversee the garden maintenance scheduling at each of the gardens we’re responsible for. Garden Program Workers (4) keep the programs running smoothly and the gardens in good shape. All 6 get to help with harvesting, farmers markets and farm trips. Some weekend and evening work may be required. We encourage equity-seeking individuals to apply.

Hours and Rate of Pay

GardenProgram Co-ordinator: $17/hr x 35 hrs/wk x 8 weeks

GardenProgram Worker: $15/hr x 35 hrs/wk x 8 weeks
