"I walk on earth and run on/ earth and jump and skip on earth/ earth is my friend."

Share the wonders and delights of the world around us with young readers. Author Red Plantos and illustrator John Fraser celebrate the beauty of our planet in this book of gentle poems about earth and water to be enjoyed by young minds.

The author, Ted Plantos was a Toronto local, emerging from Cabbagetown. Ted passed away in 2001 and The Ontario Poet's Society carries on his legacy with The Ted Plantos Memorial Award to support new poets in their debut publishing. A short biography of Ted's life can be found here.

Windsor-born artist John Fraser provides the attractive color and
black-and-white illustrations that accompany the poems in this friendly
and accessible volume.
