Requirements: Proven communications, social media, and WordPress skills Excellent administrative skills Able to communicate with diverse audiences (youth, Indigenous, Francophone, multicultural, with disabilities) French language skills an asset Interest in and familiarity with school gardens an asset
Position Overview The Project Co-ordinator will be responsible for implementing School Garden Celebration Week (SGCW), May 15-19, 2017. This will be a province-wide celebration as part of Ontario 150. The goal of SGCW will be to highlight the past, present and future directions of school gardens in Ontario. The project will build awareness, excitement and broad public participation in school-community gardens across the province.
Task 1: Develop the key contacts and relationships
Task 2: Establish and use media database
Task 3: Messaging/Content creation (E/F)
Task 4: Increase sustainability and reach of profiled gardens
Task 5: Leverage the Ontario 150 grant for additional in-kind sponsorship
Reports to: Executive Director Payment: monthly via invoice
