Benefits of a School Community Food Garden
Green Thumbs lives by the Solving for Pattern philosophy. Solving for Pattern is a phrase coined by Wendell Berry, and it refers to the process of finding solutions that solve multiple problems, while minimizing the creation of new problems.
We promote the idea of a School Community Food Garden: an intersection of education, environment, human health and food security. Also a unique place for the community to connect with the school, and the school to take its place year-round as a hub of the community. For a full-colour 11 x 17 poster of the artwork below, created by the talented Caitlin Taguibao, send us a quick email.
